BRINGING MOTION TO PHOTO
OVERVIEW
Among Native Shoes key ingredients of innovation, sustainability, and lightness, is originality. Shoes play an important role in showcasing a child’s unique style, and deserve a place in the school photo. My objective was to bring child-like energy and movement to a typically still image, while creating cohesive visuals to match the campaign photography.

HOW I ADDED VALUE
Through three branching campaign ads, incorporating fast-paced graphics animation and a constant forward motion in the actions and editing, I made it clear there’s a shoe to match every original style.
With a fixed backdrop and photography centred set design, it created a challenge in building high energy movement on set, so I took to focusing on ways to add motion in the edit. Sliding frames from one side to the other allowed for a constant motion that moved our characters forward from one outfit to the next, paired with physically walking through the frame to create a seamless transition.
For the shoe bundles, I was provided with collectable card graphics from the client. I took to finding ways to animate them that created the feeling of holding a whole deck of collectibles, playing on the nostalgic feeling of holding a full 'team' in your hands to sift through.
This campaign resulted in 30 video deliverables.
